Banjo Glass: Creation, Culture, and the Alchemy of Connection [King Hero Interview]

Banjo Glass: Creation, Culture, and the Alchemy of Connection
King Hero Interview
Live Monday, June 15 at 1 PM CDT
The emergence of culture. The synergy of human beings creating together. And the mysterious process by which something seemingly comes from nothing.
In this episode of the King Hero's Journey, I'm welcoming pioneering glass artist Banjo Glass for a conversation about creation, culture, and what happens when people gather around shared values.
Our connection began through my recent interviews with Roy "FutureMan" Wooten.
Banjo commented on one of the posts, we started talking, and when he told me his children call him a "King Hero," I immediately invited him onto the show.
That connection itself is part of what fascinates me.
Culture emerges from the living web of human relationships grows through shared interests, shared values, creativity, and mutual support.
Banjo has spent decades helping shape what became an entire genre of artistic creation. Through functional glass art, he has participated in the growth of a thriving community of artists, collectors, entrepreneurs, music lovers, creators, and visionaries.
What interests me is not only the art itself, EXTRAORDINARY as it is.
It's the culture.
How does something like that happen?
What binds people together strongly enough that a community can endure and grow across generations?
What is the alchemy by which an idea becomes an organic force?
In this conversation we'll explore:
• the evolution of the functional glass movement
• what Banjo has witnessed over decades inside this culture
• entrepreneurship as a creative act
• how communities form around shared values
• the relationship between creation and connection
• what continues to sustain and strengthen the network
• how a culture develops its own identity, language, and traditions
• what Banjo sees at the heart of the culture he helped pioneer
I've spent enough time around music festivals, art communities, and gatherings of creative people to recognize that something larger is often happening than what appears on the surface. The anthropologist in me wants to know more about the mysterious process by which something seemingly comes from nothing.

I’m Beth Martens—founder of the House of Free Will, pattern hunter, archetype reader, podcaster, author, coach trainer, and
business coach. My calling has truly been a life-or-death matter. After a decade as a corporate VP in my family’s firm, eight transformative trips to India, and a three-year battle with cancer nearly 25 years ago, I turned to archetypes and deep deprogramming work to save my life.
Despite doing everything wrong based on limited health knowledge, I accessed the hidden inner roots of what was keeping me sick, stuck, and unconscious. Letting those patterns go changed everything. I went from dying to living almost overnight.
Today, I help people who love truth more than their beliefs—people who want to serve with their life’s work and walk their Hero’s Journey—to deprogram the beast system from within and stop unconsciously feeding the forces that harm us.
I host the King Hero interview series, where I spotlight leaders, entrepreneurs, movement makers, and lovers of freedom who are carving new paths in a world that desperately needs them. And I also share my own voice, insights, and stories through my new solo podcast, Beth of Fresh Air.
