FutureMan | Kery KG Greene | Micah Ellars: Sound, Stage, and Creation on the Hero’s Journey

King Hero Interview
Live June 1 at 12 PM CDT

In this episode of the King Hero’s Journey, we’re deep diving into the Hero’s Journey through the lenses of sound, film, stage, archetype, and creation with an extraordinary panel:

Roy “FutureMan” Wooten
Kery KG Greene
Micah Ellars

What brings us together is a shared fascination with the Hero’s Journey as a living structure moving through human experience.

FutureMan and Kery explore where sound meets the Hero’s Journey—through rhythm, music, vibration, improvisation, and the unseen architecture beneath creativity itself.

Micah brings his perspective from filmmaking, screenwriting, performance, Gurdjieff’s work, and direct exploration of the unconscious and the workings of how art and transformation intersect.

And I’ll be listening through my own angle on the Journey as a map of conscious experience—one that reveals the patterns draining life force and offers the possibility of stepping beyond those patterns into freedom.

This panel conversation moves across multiple dimensions of creation and consciousness.

Inside this episode, we explore:

  • how the Hero’s Journey shapes sound, visuals, and transformational art
  • stage and screen performance as archetypal expression
  • actors, musicians, and creators as living carriers of mythic patterns
  • octaves and the Fibonacci
  • the esoteric meaning of creation on the Journey
  • the relationship between rhythm, consciousness, and transformation
  • the potential impact of creative work on humanity
  • where freedom is actually found

There’s a point where art stops being entertainment and begins functioning as a medium for growing what’s essentially human.

This conversation lives in that territory.

And with these three powerful creators together, I suspect we’ll go well beyond the planned conversation and into the unexpected synergies that emerge when deep pattern recognition meets lived creative experience.

About Future Man (Roy Wooten)

Roy Wilfred Wooten, known as Future Man (Futche), is a pioneering musician, composer, and inventor. A founding member of Béla Fleck and the Flecktones, he has helped shape a genre-defying sound that blends jazz, bluegrass, funk, and beyond.

Renowned for his groundbreaking instruments like the Drumitar and RoyEl, Future Man has dedicated his life to exploring new musical systems and expanding the possibilities of rhythm, melody, and harmony.

Born into a deeply musical family in Hampton, Virginia, and later rooted in Nashville’s vibrant scene, his journey reflects a lifelong commitment to innovation, curiosity, and the evolution of sound.

About Micah Ellars

Micah Ellars is a filmmaker, acting instructor, and transformation coach whose work bridges storytelling, psychology, and inner development. After enduring years of crippling depression, anxiety, grief, and experiences of bullying, abuse, and betrayal, Micah found himself stripped of meaning and searching for purpose in the aftermath of a life that no longer made sense. Repeated encounters with loss and disillusionment—including a religious upbringing that ultimately rejected him—led him into a deeper inquiry into the nature of identity, suffering, and transformation.

That search brought him to the teachings of G. I. Gurdjieff and the Fourth Way—an integrated system of inner work that revealed a precise understanding of human psychology and consciousness. Through applying this work, Micah found a new orientation: one that transformed suffering into a path of meaning, inner freedom, and connection to something beyond the constructed self.

Drawing on his background in filmmaking and acting, Micah developed a unique transformation method rooted in the Meisner Technique, combined with Gurdjieff’s psychological framework. Today, he works with creatives and seekers to help them access higher levels of energy, awareness, and authentic expression through direct experiential work.

If we're just meeting...

I’m Beth Martens—founder of the House of Free Will, pattern hunter, archetype reader, podcaster, author, coach trainer, and June 2019-96 business coach. My calling has truly been a life-or-death matter. After a decade as a corporate VP in my family’s firm, eight transformative trips to India, and a three-year battle with cancer nearly 25 years ago, I turned to archetypes and deep deprogramming work to save my life.

Despite doing everything wrong based on limited health knowledge, I accessed the hidden inner roots of what was keeping me sick, stuck, and unconscious. Letting those patterns go changed everything. I went from dying to living almost overnight.

Today, I help people who love truth more than their beliefs—people who want to serve with their life’s work and walk their Hero’s Journey—to deprogram the beast system from within and stop unconsciously feeding the forces that harm us.

I host the King Hero interview series, where I spotlight leaders, entrepreneurs, movement makers, and lovers of freedom who are carving new paths in a world that desperately needs them. And I also share my own voice, insights, and stories through my new solo podcast, Beth of Fresh Air.
