I listened to this last night in preparation for next week's group coaching focused on the prostitute archetype. There were so many interesting things to learn more about in this talk, but one thing that really stood out and had an affect on me personally was Baldini's explanation that maybe us heathens who don't know Jesus are not all destined for eternal damnation. He hesitated to share this view and I wanted to reach out and say that his words gave me comfort and gave me hope that perhaps I can reconcile some inner conflict. I have been interested in spirituality and God off and on my entire life and was very turned off to Christianity in adolecense in response to friends trying to save me by telling me that I will go to hell unless I accept Jesus as my savior. This made no sense to me and felt very wrong at a deep level and in response I never until now took Christianity seriously. I did attend church with friends occasionally to support them. I did learn some basics about the different religions, but I stayed away from invitations to Christian Bible study groups and had little interest in reading the New Testament. I cannot at this time identify as a Christian, but I am reading the Christian Bible for the first time in my life. Like many, my life has been turned upside down over the past two years and for a while it felt like I was drowning. I observe that some of the people who are helping me are Christian and I feel called to learn more about God and Christianity at this time. This talk with Baldini gave me encouragement to continue learning from Beth and others in this way. Thank you.
