How Jonny Dupre Stays At The Helm of His Own Destiny - King Hero's Journey Podcast
Jonny Dupre, a psycho-social coach, master hypnotist and NLP practitioner, doesn’t answer well to authority and likes to be at the helm of his own destiny.
“Purpose is ultimately a choice when you get aligning you with all of your you’s.”
Principle, aim, contribution = purpose.
It’s not something bestowed upon people. Purpose can be owned and intrinsically motivated.
To hold all the truths is to carry the message, “I don’t know and that’s o.k.” Beliefs are not rigid, they are very flexible if you allow them to be.
Toxic masculinity is men who are misaligned, misunderstood, and miscommunicated to. Toxicity comes from trauma. They don’t need to be yelled at, they need to be trained to see there’s another avenue.
It's self-fulfilling, men are motivated to be toxic because they’re being held in that light.
Jonny says men need to see the beauty in the feminine.
Initiation is missing in society.
Even when you make a change everyone treats you the same person you were six months ago.
People need to be recognized for that. Formalized rituals cement the change, because it’s a physical metaphor for spiritual and mental shift. Initiation isn’t for the person so much as for the people around them.
